These are the pics that we did not use for My Day Will Come music video. There were so many pics, videos, home footage and we could not insert all of them in the video.
As we were editing the video I realised how important a role Proverb has played in South African music and entertainment as a whole. When you work with someone, you tend to forget certain things about a person especially their achievements because you just know them as Tebogo Thekisho.
My Day Will Come was the first Verb video I directed. Before this I had only produced two of his videos Writers Club and The Beginning.
I don't think I will ever get a better reception from client like I did when he watched the second cut of the video. I think he shed a tear and I was so relieved I did not let him down because I had a great responsibilty of telling his life story through a music video. This video really brought out the director in me. I had "retired" from directing to focus on business and grow Callback Dreams. I have not stopped directing ever since and the catalog is getting better and better with Jobie One.

We had four days to prepare for this video and today we are sitting at over half a mil views on Youtube and it is truly amazing. My family does not care what I do but all they care about is the fact that I co-directed the Mafikizolo video, lol.
We had so much in common with Mafikizolo and we have been working together ever since. We have just shot Happiness Ft Mr May D. It is coming out soon. We even worked out on the Huggies deal for Nhlanhla and we continue to work together. Watch the space.

I am not sure how I am going to top shooting Mafikizolo Khona music video, working on it though, lol.

This video was one of my best experience. We made it so easy and so enjoyable. It is always a pleasure to work with Verb. Moving forward I don't want to shoot for anyone but just Verb because I always have fun on his projects and have enough room to experiment. He gives us enough creative space to just tell a story and have fun doing it. We don't shoot videos for money because there is none in videos in SA so all we want to do is experiment, have fun, and just let our thoughts manifest.

My brother and I took a road trip to Qwa Qwa and it was the best experience ever. I had so much fun. We had so many pit stops, it taught me to relax and just enjoy life. It was a moment where I learned to just breath and just be. I allowed myself to loose track of time and just enjoy every moment. Very poetic.
